Deanna Rosalie Calkins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deanna Rosalie Calkins of Wataga, Illinois, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold K. Williamson and Anne E. Williamson (Larson); her son Russell Wesley Calkins; and her grandson Jeremy Dean Blust. She is survived by: her husband Eli "Sonny" Wesley Calkins; her children, Jeanne Blust (Dean) of Monmouth and Tim Calkins (Vicki) of Wataga; her daughter-in-law Alice Calkins (late Russell) of Oquawka; her sisters, Karenlee Pickrel and Marilyn Williamson of Galesburg; her grandchildren, Ashley Bushong (Dan), Tina Blust (late Jeremy), Tammy Nelson (Jon), Ryan Calkins (Allie), Tara Mahoney (Charlie), Jacob Calkins and Christopher Calkins; and her great grandchildren, Molly, Maggie Blust, Eli, Everett, Stewart Bushong, Briar, Baylor Nelson, Xander, Tate Calkins, Brinlee, Colt Bramlett, Connor Wilson, Autumn, Wesley Calkins, Russell and Layton Calkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), The Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma Research or the Wataga School Supply Drive, which Deanna founded and is still going strong today.
