He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Raymond Carlson and Ethel Carlson (Heck) of Galesburg; his wife Tanya Pacheco; and his siblings, Ron Carlson of Galesburg and Joyce White of Ohio. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
