With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles E. Rayot of Waterloo, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2026 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara R. Rayot; his parents, Charles Robert Rayot and Bessie Pautler; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Rayot. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Cheryl Rayot-Tannous (Jamil Tannous) and Charles R. Rayot (Marcia); his grandchildren, Christine Tannous, Ronda Bemenderfer (Daniel), Elias Tannous, Anthony Tannous and Noah Rayot; his great grandchildren, Aida and Edward; and his brother Dr. Robert A. Rayot. He is also survived by nieces; nephew; great-nephews; and cousins.
As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: Hope Christian Church Food Pantry.
