She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmer Glaenzer and Helen Glaenzer; her son-in-law John E. Huntley; her stepgrandson Johnny Huntley; and her parents-in-law, Leonard and Hilda Mertz.

She is survived by : her husband James A. Mertz; her daughters, Denise D. Gruber (Mark) and Dawn Huntley; her grandchildren, Ryan Gruber, Paige Gregory (David), Michael Mertz, Stephanie Hefflinger (Ryan), Justin Huntley, Michelle Leach (Tim) and Josh Huntley (Josha); and her siblings, Kenneth Glaenzer (Linda), Kathy Alspach (Danny) and Darrell Glaenzer (Anna). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: Friedens UCC - Hecker (Building and Memorial Fund) or David M. Sindelar Cancer Center.
