He is survived by: his wife Laurie Sparwasser; his children, Douglas Sparwasser, Christy Osterhage (Justin), Jason Valerius (Karen), Julie Valerius (Chad Everett) and Jennifer Johnson (Scott); his grandchildren, Ryland, Layden Sparwasser, Lillian, Samuel Osterhage, Kierstin Lipe (Bose Rajan), Nicholaus Valerius (Faizah Howard), Madalyn Jost (Noah), Kyle Everett, Oliver Valerius and Henry Johnson; his great grandchildren, Louella Lipe and Bose; his sisters, Marlene Buettner (Richard) and Jean Wheat; and his siblings-in-law, James Valerius (Sherry), Linda Hubbard, Jill Schaefer (Tony), Greg Varel and Bruce Valerius (Donita). He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and cousins.
