Jo Ann Phillips Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Phillips of Waterloo, Illinois, born in Metairie, Louisiana, who passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester "Checker" Theriot and Stella Theriot; her parents-in-law, William and Billie Phillips; and her sister-in-law Beth Bruce.
She is survived by: her husband Martin L. Phillips; her children, Joel Phillips (Katheryn Ruether) and Jennifer Jones; her grandchildren, Kirsten, Megan, Christopher, Mackenzie and Hadley; her sisters, Suzanne Deeser (Jon), Patricia Theriot and Deborah Roberts (Paul); and her siblings-in-law, Frances Phillips, Jim Gustason and Keith Bruce. She is also survived by aunts; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Quernheim Funeral Home (800 S Market St, Waterloo, IL 62298). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hamburg Cemetery.
