Noah Earl Francis Obituary

Noah Earl Francis of Waterloo, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Oakhill Nursing Center, at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 10 days. He was born on December 30, 1914, at Fredericktown, the son of the late Mont J. and Cora (Simmons) Francis. He was also preceded in death by two wives, Madelaine Francis and Virginia Francis, two brothers, Silas E. Francis and John W. Francis (infant), and a daughter-in-law, Janet Zolman Francis. He is survived by three children, David E. Francis of Park Hills, James L. Francis (Shirley) of Union and Lawrence J. Francis (Kay) of Columbia, IL, five step-children, Ron Davis, Rick Davis, Donna Davis Hailey, Dorothy Davis Warren and Renee Davis Crawford, a sister, Virginia Albaugh of Fulton, and a brother, Lee L. Francis (Ella) of Farmington, twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Noon, on Saturday, December 13, 2008. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Garvin Fischer officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimers Association.
