He was predeceased by : his daughter Bobbi Jo; his parents, Delbert Shawgo and Lois Shawgo; his brother Roger Shawgo (Sylvia); and his nephew Ray.

He is survived by : his children, Beau Shawgo (Rebecca), Ricole Shawgo (Nick) and Jonah Shawgo (Bridget); his grandchildren, Mason, Bella, Spencer and Carson; his sister Barb (John); his great-nephews, Russ Wilson (Sherry), Brady Wilson (Bethany) and Zach (Roni); and his great-niece Jenni Hardesty (Skip).
