He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joann Steppig; his children, Tera Cooke (Craig) of Ballwin, MO, Nicholas Steppig (Mary-Elizabeth) of Monticello, IL and Christopher Steppig (Ed Northrup) of Chicago, IL.; his parents, Robert L Steppig and Patricia A Steppig; his parents-in-law, Vernon May and Shirley May; his siblings-in-law, David C May and Sandra L May; and his grandparents, Mr Robert Dunham, Mrs Virginia Dunham, Mr Henry Steppig and Mrs Florence Steppig.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Quernheim Funeral Home (800 S Market St, Waterloo, IL 62298). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
