He was predeceased by: his father Ervin H. Karsten. He is survived by: his wife Diana Karsten; his sons, Richard Karsten (Becky) and Steven Karsten; his grandsons, Aidan Karsten and Brady Karsten; his mother Margaret Karsten; his sisters, Pat Heller, Peggy Frazier, Donna Korves (Floyd), Diane Seidel (John Satterfield) and Bonnie (Scott); his grandmother Linda Queen (Gary); his brothers, Earl Karsten and Gary Karsten; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Byrd, Jerry Byrd, Jeanette Chapman, Gail Lashley and Marla Byrd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 5831 Maeystown Rd, Waterloo, IL 62298.
