He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Waddy (Walker) and Edward M. Waddy; his wife Harriet Waddy; his brothers, James Waddy and Raymon Waddy; his half-brother Robert Waddy; his stepchildren, Linda Magliulo and Theodore Magliulo; Daniel Waddy.
He is survived by: his sister Marie Waddy Almy; his children, Edward Waddy and Donna Waddy Searcy (Kenny); his stepchildren, Joseph Magliulo (Jeanie), Laura Bulman (Terry), Sharon Magliulo (Wayne), Jeraldine Magliulo and Ciro Magliulo (Pauline); his close friend Margaret Rushing; and his friend Dave Gibson.
