He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford E. On and Louise Smith Sr. On; his daughter Felisha Smith; and his brothers, Frank Smith Sr. and Jim Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Monika Richter; his son Alexander Haegele; his sisters, Maxine Shores (Bob) and Sue Timm (Larry); and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Vasquez, Diana Smith and Sheila Smith. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Open Bible Center (410 S Small Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901).
