He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Steinhart and Irene Steinhart (Huse); his wife Theresa Meents; and his brother David Steinhart. He is survived by: his children, Scott Steinhart (Jennifer) of St. Petersburg, FL, Jason Asher (Kristi) of Kankakee, IL, Chad Steinhart of Port Ritchie, FL, Tim Asher (Denise) of Fl, Lisa DaViera of Groveland, IL and Sarah Eckhoff (Evan) of Onarga, IL; and his sister Janice Barnett of Kankakee, IL. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a large extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kankakee - Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home (1480 W Court St, Kankakee, IL 60901).
