He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer O. Long and Clara Cynthia Long (Cooksie); his brothers, James and Herb Long; and his great grandchild Tripp Ryan Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Michele Long of Watseka; his daughter Tammy Barragree of Watseka; his grandchildren, Kaitley Smith (Dustin), Kenna Zirkle (Austin) and Cameron Barragree; his son Nicolas Long (Catherine) of Zionsville, IN; his grandsons, Everett, Oliver and Alden Long; his sisters, Barb Gosser of Pence, IN, Nancy Neal (John) of Chattanooga, TN, Winnie Roach of Wellington, Brenda Eastburn of Sheldon and Sue Cropper (Donnie) of Armstrong; and his stepsister Sherrie Leslie (Steve) of Hoopeston. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
