He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Brandenburg and Leona Brandenburg (Kottkamp); his wife Carol Jane Geisler Milton; his brother Rick Houser; and his son Ronnie.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Brandenburg (Tracy) of Watseka and Michelle Hickman (Rob) of Watseka; his brothers, Ed Brandenburg (Nancy) of Hindsboro and Jim Brandenburg (Patricia) of Mahomet; Dallas Williams, Aaron Milton (Stephanie) and Becky Williams. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
