It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol A. Althoff of Watson, Illinois, who passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Schmidt and Beulah Schmidt (Hutchen); and her brothers, Arthur Schmidt and Darrell Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband David Althoff; her son Devin Althoff (Megan); and her grandsons, Loren Althoff and Wade Althoff.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Lutheran Care Center in Altamont or St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham.
