He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman D. Hanna and Betty Jean Robbinsand (Sherrod); his grandparents, Henry Sherrod, Sr., Ella Mae Sherrod, Robert Lee Hanna and Zemmie Montgomery Hanna; and his stepgrandmother Mary Coleman Hanna.

He is survived by: his siblings, Jaqueline, Norman D. Sherrod, Sr., Quenten Robbins, Shalonda Sherrod Robbins, LaShonda and Norman Thomas of Zion, IL.. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
