He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alfredo, Ascension and Louisa Mendoza Contreras. He is survived by: his wife Maria M. Mendoza; his children, Carlos, Veronica, Claudia, Juanita, Jaime and Eric Mendoza; his grandchildren, Daniel W. Munoz, Abigail C. Munoz, Linda R. Munoz, Carlos Mendoza Jr., Elina Mendoza and Leonardo Mendoza; his daughter-in-law Eliza Mendoza; and his great grandchildren, Sam M. Munoz, Eli M. Rushing of Addyline, C. J, Ezekiel G. Rushing and Rosalia L. Rushing. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
The IEA Company has made a donation to the St. Jude's Foundation in Alvaro Mendoza's name.
