Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Doris Irene Richter of Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 94, on October 19, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Eddie; her children, Jeffery and Rhonda Wood; her daughter-in-law Katy Richter (Scott); her sister Mary LaMaster-Stark; and her sister-in-law Mary Nibbe (Al).
She is survived by: her sons, Randy, Randall Richter (Susan) and Scott Richter; her son-in-law Rod Wood (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Erin Jorgensen (Jeremy), Romy DeCristofaro (Enzo), Reggie Richter (Hannah), Cathryn Richter (Graham Koch), Conrad Richter (Ryan), Evan Richter (Kennedy Burk), Ellen Richter, Bryte Wood, Rynn Wood and Forest Richter (Erin O'Halloran); her brother Dr Albert Nibbe of Colorado; and her great grandchildren, Molly, Jamie Jorgensen, Edea, Grace DeCristofaro, Nora, Ruby Richter, Theodore Koch, Aurora, Marigold, Dahlia Richter, Sloane and Silas Richter-O'Halloran.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bonnie Brook Golf Course Club House (2800 N Lewis Ave, Waukegan, IL 60087). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at the same location.
Donations of flowers are welcome, but in lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to The Camp Jorn YMCA (https://campjornymca.org).
