It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys A Rivera of Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Rivera and Amalia Rivera (Torres); and her nieces, Sandra and Migdalia. She is survived by: her children, Lillian Belmar, William Martinez Jr. (Maria), Joseph Martinez (Alina), Nitza Navarro (Edgardo) and Nancy Schilbe; her grandchildren, Melanie, Crystal, Joseph, Viviane, Lina, Brittany, William III, Anthony, Stephanie and Kegan; her great grandchildren, Roman, Elianna, Adriana, Dominique, William, Katalyna, Vivian, Lys, Naya and Alia; her sister Haydee Torres; and her sibling's children, Edgar, Iris and Carmelo.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Humility (10655 W Wadsworth Rd, Beach Park, IL 60099). Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home (305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031).
