She is survived by : her sons, James Carpenter, Jr. (Denise) and Bernard Carpenter; her grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Teanna Carpenter, Naudgee Carpenter and Jayla Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Armond, Naiela Henton, Jayden Johnson and Iyanna Gordon; her nieces, Mary Brown, Beverly Webb, Arlene Johnson, Linda Hale, Sharon Palmer and Tenisha Johnson; her nephew Kennedy Stewart; her cousin Lillie Ruth Gowens; and her siblings-in-law, Frances B. Stewart, Houston Baker and Van Lee Baker. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
