With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth H Stawinski of Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ruth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Stawinski and Mildred Stawinski (Polkowski); her stepmother Bertha (Kocielski); and her sister Judith Fackert. She is survived by: her sisters, Melody Grula of Plainfield, IN, Naomi DeFoggi of Frederick, MD and Marcy Stawinski of Plainfield, IN. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews; and 8 grand-nieces and nephews.
