She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo F. "Heiner" Schumacher and Philis "Fran" Dixon Schumacher; and her siblings, Marlene Smith (Molly), Sue Katzenmeyer, Nancy Arthur and Leo F. Schumacher Jr. (Dutch).

She is survived by: her husband Richard Paulsen (Dick) of Waukegan; her children, Richard Paulsen (Wendy) of Waukegan, Marge Paulsen of Waukegan, Shelia Hollway (Rich) of Rockford and Norman Paulsen (Sherry) of Beach Park; her grandchildren, Richard Jr. and Alexis "Lexi" Paulsen; her children, Aaron Kasting, Aidan Paulsen, Caitlin and Kristin Paulsen; and her siblings, Judy Hutchison of Carbondale, IL, Randy Schumacher (Jeane) of Janesville, WI and Hubert Arthur of Evansville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
