He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Hopkins; his stepfather Ervin Wells; his grandmother Marie Ammon; his cousin Ronald Ammon; his parents-in-law, Carl Westerberg and Lois Westerberg; and his brother-in-law Tony Colombani.

He is survived by: his wife Jodi; his siblings, Christine, Keith (Laura), Kurt, Boyd, Alane Hefti (Jim), Deanna and Karena (Andy); and his in-laws, Kim Colombani, Ronni Penwill (Paul), Lori Loquercio (Mike) and Jeri Walsh (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
