He was predeceased by : his mother Marlene Shields. He is survived by : his wife Marie Shields; his children, Heather Leonard (Steve), Heidi Helmkamp (Tom) and Laurie Winner (Joe); his father Eugene Shields; and his sisters, Sharon Smith (Hugh) and Kathleen Wendricks (David). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
