She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude W. Rains and Ora M. Carter Rains; her stepfather George Morton; her sisters, Vickie Chappell and Robin Ruzika; her nephew Donnie McKee; and her niece Lori Chappell.
She is survived by: her husband Andy Planitz of Waverly; her sons, Joshua A. Planitz, Jeremy A. Planitz of Carlinville and Jordan A Planitz of DuQuoin; her siblings, David A. Rains (Becky) of Anna, Texas and Claudia A. Bonds (Terry) of Gibson City; and her nieces and nephews, Julie Fee, Jennifer Chappell, Sarah Rains, Jessica Rains, John McKee, Evan Rodderick, Jody Bonds (Jennifer) and Chad Bonds (Dana). She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pawnee Assembly of God Church (1001 8th St, Pawnee, IL 62558). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Wanda Cemetery (915 Indiana Ave, South Roxana, IL 62087).
