He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Shepard and Vivian Tolbert Shepard; and his stepfather Emory Hinchee. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Shepard (Kathy) of Waverly, Kimberly Shelly (Todd) of Springfield, Kris Shepard (Heather) of Albuquerque, NM. and Kory Shepard (Rebecca) of Orange City; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Shelly of Chicago and Rachel Shelly of Springfield; and his brother Michael "Mickey" Shepard (Deana) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by niece and two nephews.
