She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hammond and Ester Hammond (McClain); her son Lavern Fay Johnson, Jr.; her grandsons, Gabriel Horn and Daniel Horn; and her great grandchild Wrigleigh Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Lavern Fay Johnson, Sr.; her children, Joe Johnson (Lisel) of Mt Carmel, IL, Wayne Johnson (Tina) of Fairfield, IL, Wes Johnson (Robin) of Fairfield, IL, Tom Johnson (Tammy) of Potoka, IN, Katie Castleberry (Raymond) of Flora, IL and Bell Klanke (Dale) of Xenia, IL; and her siblings, Bill Hammond of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Beulah Skelt (Rick) of Rochelle, IL. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and a lot of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Ten Post Oak Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City.
