The passing of Robert McLouth Schless (Wayne, Illinois) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 2, 2025 at the age of 92. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. "Jack" Schless and Dorothy Schless; his wife Mary Jean; his grandson Sam Shelton; and his sisters, Margaret and Jean.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Bouchard (Charles), Mary Roach (Dan), Jane Shelton (Tim) and Caroline Andres (Phil); his grandchildren, George (Leah), Olivia (Will), Clara (Clarence), Peter, Mary Alice, Maggie and Wren; his great grandchild Henry; and his brother-in-law Alan Gray (Julie). He is also survived by nieces, grand-nieces and nephew; and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Little Home Church (32W128 Army Trail Rd, Wayne, IL 60184).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bob's honor to the Little Home Church; WTTW, Chicago's PBS station; or WFMT, Chicago's classical radio station.
