He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Marie Burton (Surber); and his sisters, Rose Marie Burton and Cindy Norton. He is survived by: his father Edwin H. Burton of Monticello; his children, Amanda Griffin of Seymour and John Burton of Clinton; his brother Davis Burton; his grandchildren, Addison and Aliah Griffin; his girlfriend Gail Altig of Weldon; and his girlfriend's child Jazzlynn Palmer-Burton.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ingram Cemetery (2163 N 1300 East Rd, White Heath, IL 61884).
