She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver H. Chaon and Alberta M. Chaon (Dinges); her grandfather George Dinges; her husband Robert A. Gehant; and her sisters, Donna Mae Johnson (George) and Rose Marie MacKay (Pete).
She is survived by: her children, Ann F. Gehant (Ed Kavanaugh) of Champaign, William A. Gehant (Deirdre) of West Brooklyn and Timothy R. Gehant (Glen Rexing) of Chicago, Illinois.; and her grandchildren, Conor DuBoyce, Brad Kavanaugh and Kelly Lord. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sisters of St. Francis in Clinton, IA, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
