He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Claussen Earley and Isabella Marie McDonald Earley; his former wife Nancy Elaine Stitils; his sister Phyllis Goodman; and his niece Linda Goodman.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Karp Voelz); and his children, John Voelz (Cheryl), Donald Voelz (Cindy), Thomas Voelz (Cindy), James Earley, Donna Earley Fromm, Ronald Voelz (Terri), Ellen Altier and Carol Hassels (Rob). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
