He was predeceased by: his parents, George VanDerHeyden and Julia VanDerHeyden; his sister Diane Howenstein; and his stepson Andrew Klobertanz. He is survived by: his former wife Susan VanDerHeyden; his siblings, Susan Smith, Marilyn Kanak (Michael), Michael VanDerHeyden (Laura) and Ronald VanDerHeyden (Deneen); and his stepsons, Ronald and Christopher Klobertanz. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
