She was predeceased by: her parents, Rajam Bharati and Raguraja Bharati. She is survived by: her sisters, Sarasa Bharati Arumugam and Vijayalakshmi; her sister-in-law Saroja Varadharajan; her niece Rajashree Venkatraman; and her siblings, Padmavalli, Durairajan, Rajalakshmi and Varadharajan.
