She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Purkey and Jean Purkey (McKee); and her sister Jacqueline. She is survived by: her husband John Hartman; her daughters, Karen Darnell and Dianna Hartman; her sisters, Patricia Phillips and Sandra Tolliver; her grandchildren, Sydney Oswald, Xoie Edmisten, Tyler Darnell and Collin Darnell; her great grandchildren, Clifford, Xayla, Harrison, Landon and Logan; her stepsiblings, Pamela, Chris and John; and her son-in-law John Darnell.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
