We announce the death of John D. Earl of West Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Earl and Wilma Fay Earl (Belcher); his stepdaughter Stephanie Pasquino; his brothers, George Eugene Earl (Marlene), Carl Earl and David Lee Earl; and his brothers-in-law, Lewis Smith and Daniel Roth.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Flukey (Roy) of Jacksonville, IL, Jeff Earl of Benton and Greg Earl (Kim) of Mulkeytown; his stepdaughter Andrea Woolard (Doug) of Johnston City; his stepson-in-law Frank Pasquino; his grandchildren, Misty Cooner, Kristal Shue, Tiffany Beckman (Matt), Leyten Earl, Ethan Earl, Sam Moskoff (Boris), Joe Earl, Jake Natyshok (Marissa) and Alex Winch (Tyler); his sisters, Patricia Smith and Joy Roth; and his friend Jimmy Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vantrease-Pyle Funeral Home of Zeigler (101 Wilcox Ave, Zeigler, IL 62999). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Coach Kill Cancer Fund.
