With sadness, we share the passing of Judy Matelic of West Frankfort, Illinois. Judy, born on December 8, 1941, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Purcell and Maude Purcell (Little); her husband Gale Matelic; and her siblings, Robert Purcell and Thelma Williams (Baker).
She is survived by: her children, Wesley Taylor (Laurie) and Terri Taylor; her grandchildren, Ryan Taylor, Kassie Johnson, Caitlin Taylor, Ben Burroughs and Payton Taylor; her great grandchildren, Aiden and Emersyn Taylor; and her grandchildren, Kamylla, Koal and Kaisen Johnson.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery (703 E Main St, West Frankfort, IL 62896).
Memorials may be made to the Night's Shield in West Frankfort.
