She was predeceased by: her mother Marcella Burton (Karroll); her son James E. Melvin; her sister Sue Lucas; and her nephews, Jeff, Jason Aldridge and Todd Lucas.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Melvin of West Frankfort and Amanda Melvin of California; her grandchildren, Aubriana, Kayden, Mason, Joseph, Isaiah, James and Chase; her great grandchildren, Inzo and Eli; and her stepdaughter Nicole Johnson.
