He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Veldman and Alice Veldman (Volland); his wife Rivetta "Bette" Veldman; and his sisters, Alice Gorter and Delores Dykstra.

He is survived by : his children, Debbie Prince (Robert), Richard Veldman (Jetta) and David Veldman (Sonja); and his sister-in-law Carmella Kauzlarich. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
