He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Edward and Vira Pittenger Grace; his wife Fern R. Huls; his siblings, Pete, Eddy Grace and Sally Beake; and his sister-in-law Nancy Grace.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Grace (Deb) of Bushnell, IL, Monte Grace (Tanya) of Muscatine, IA and Matthew Grace (Amanda) of Eldora, IA; his grandchildren, Zachary Grace (Jodi) of Avon, IL, Chelsea Gibbs (Marcus) of Abingdon, IL and Kaitlin Grace of Ceder Rapids, IA; and his brother James Grace of Libertyville, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hugs of Hancock County.
