It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley R. Dorney of West Salem, Illinois, who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess William and Evelyn Dorney (Griffin); his son Frank Dorney; and his siblings, Dale Dorney, Gene Dorney, Leroy Jackson, John Dorney, Irene Dorney, Della Riley, Stella Brian, Alberta Brian and Robert Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Dorney of West Salem, IL; his daughter Cinda Hulskotter (Mitch) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Jamie Dorney of Tennessee, Amber Dorney of Tennessee, Candra Kronewitter (Brandon) of Herrin, IL and Holly Adams (Colby) of Mason, IL; and his sister Rose Riley (Raymond) of McLeansboro, IL.. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
