He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Sanders and William "Bill" Moore; his stepfather James "Noots" May; and his sister Janie Eve Brown. He is survived by: his former wife Elaine May; his children, Edward "Maurice" May, Jonathan May, Erica May, Krystal "Pooh" May, Robin May, Edwina "Sylvia" May, Linda and La'Amanda "Ruby" May; his grandchildren, Xavier Garcia, Ebonie May, Artasia Garcia, Evion May, Erius May, Donovan Garcia, Milan Higgins, Julian Garcia, Chase Fields, London Fields, MaKhy Reed, MaKynzie Reed, Messiah McWilliams, MeLiyah McWilliams and Ethan May; his great grandchild Sadie Cantanilla May; and his siblings, Michelle May, McClain Sanders (Denita), Pamela Sangs, Wanda Whaley, Sonya May, Ronnie Burke (Mike) and Angela Sangs-Johnson (Renard). He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends.
A wake will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Westchester Community Church (1840 Westchester Blvd, Westchester, IL 60154). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
