It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Hinni (Western Springs, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 69, on February 10, 2026. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph Hinni. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hinni; his daughters, Lindsey Koza (Dan Koza) and Carly Helitzer (Adam Helitzer); his stepson Justin Mitchusson; his grandchildren, Everett, Addalyn and Emma Koza; and his sisters, Mary Yena and Judy Berg.
