The family announces the passing of Josip Prsa of Western Springs, Illinois on October 7, 2026. Josip, born on November 15, 1931, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Josip will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Josip by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Josip is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Josip’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife Iva; his daughters, Ana (Tomislav Bugarija) and Iva (Juraj Kostolansky); his granddaughter Mia Gabriella; and his siblings, Niko of Canada, Franjo of Germany, Manda of Croatia and Ivica of Austria. He is also survived by his many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church (2823 S Princeton Ave, Chicago, IL 60616). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
