It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Gene Walsh of Westmont, Illinois, who passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Walsh and Anna Mary Walsh (Townyeena); and his brothers, Thomas and John. He is survived by : his children, Mary Elizabeth Kiesewetter (Chip), Kathleen Ann Swain (Douglas), Ellen L. Nielsen, Susan M. Wodka (Ed), Laura Jean Peterson, Joanne Fisher and Brian Thomas Walsh (Catherine); his grandchildren, Paige (Steven Perez), Bobby Kiesewetter, Matthew (Amy), Abigail Swain, Christopher (Lindsey), William Nielsen (Erin), Michael (Stephanie), Melanie Gloss, Elizabeth, Anne Marie Peterson, Andrew, Samantha (Grant Fuller), Edward Fisher (Priscilla), Caroline and Jason Walsh; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Aiden, Jack, Noelle, Casey, Kayla, Henry, Sloane, Elias, Lincoln and Jaxson.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (820 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
