He was predeceased by: his parents, David C. Thomson and Margaret Thomson. He is survived by: his wife Beth; his daughters, Shauna Thorson (Chad) and Ashley Sambrano (Timothy); his siblings, Doug Thomson (Nancy) and Jean Litfin (Roger); his grandchildren, Hunter Thorson (Amanda), Luke Thorson (Rachael), Clayton Thorson (Audrey), Molly Furrow (Jesse), Ben Thorson (Anne Camille), Avery Sambrano, Olivia Sambrano and Lily Sambrano; and his great grandchildren, Mark, Kylie, Brooks, McKinley, Elsie, Evelyn, Levi, Casen, Truett and Mackenzie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheaton Bible Church (27W500 North Ave, West Chicago, IL 60185). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Battling Parkinson's for almost 20 years, Dave never complained, and he fought with determination to stay active in family life.
