He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Gilberd and Edythe M. Gilberd. He is survived by: his wife Mia F. Gilberd; his son Robert C. Gilberd (Sarah); his granddaughters, Adelaide and Elouise; and his siblings, Randy and Susan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and at 5:00 PM. A burial was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
