Howard Carl Skolak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Carl Skolak of Wheaton, Illinois, who passed away on June 24, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Skolak (Francuzowski) and Carl Skolak; his sister Sharon; his former wife Geraldine Joyce Jelen; and his grandson Philip Lutzenkirchen.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Rosemarie Tschannen (Don), Jeff Skolak (Julie), Mary Lutzenkirchen (Michael), Joyce Munson, Gerry Meier, Barry Skolak (Liane), Terry Meier (Cindy) and Kate Meier (Hunter Reno); and his grandchildren, Eric Tschannen (Amy), Tyler Tschannen (Mila), Austin Tschannen, Jacob Skolak, Amy Rowan (Bobby), Ann Lutzenkirchen, Abby Forristall (Miller), Vicki Garzareck (Kaleb), Kelly Munson, Matthew Meier, Patrick Meier, Melanie Meier, Natalie Meier, Lauren Flanagan (Max), Joseph Skolak, Ella Rabbino and Chloe Rabbino. He is also survived by his children's and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Williams-Kampp Funeral Home (430 E Roosevelt Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (310 S Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Lutzie43.org (https://lutzie43.org) Foundation, honoring the legacy of his grandson in the mission to promote safe driving.
