She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Sonneveldt and Dorothy Sonneveldt; her former life partner Walter W. Filkin III; and her stepmother Carol Sonneveldt. She is survived by : her husband Dr. Richard G. Gieser; her sons, David Filkin (Susan) of Highwood, IL and Eric Filkin (Carissa) of Tavares, FL; her grandchildren, Tom (Michaela), Cailee, Keegan, Maggie, Cal, Teddy, Mimi and Lina; her sisters, Sherry Everest (Dan) and Jan Phipps (John); and her half-siblings, Jon Sonneveldt (Lynel), Lance Sonneveldt (Jamie) and Robyn Brodie (Keith). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, step-children, and step-grandchildren, and friends.
