He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Rooney and Melvina Rooney; and his siblings, Hugh, Paul and Elizabeth Rooney.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Melissa Coyne (Bryan), Megan Emery (Stephen) and Sean Rooney (Val); his grandchildren, Lauren and Allie Coyne; his children, Blair, Rooney Emery, Coleman, Cooper and Evan Rooney; and his brothers, Philip and Fred Rooney.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton (715 N Carlton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187).
